Quality Engineer
Description
We are looking for a detail-oriented and analytical individual to join our team as a Quality Engineer. This role plays a key part in quality assessment throughout the full agile delivery lifecycle — from requirements gathering through production deployment — ensuring every feature and user story meets the highest quality bar for our internal and external customers.
What You Will Do as a USANA Quality Engineer
- Participate in Agile ceremonies, including story grooming and sprint planning, and collaborate with the team to understand requirements and prioritize testing
- Develop and execute test cases, under guidance, including black/gray box testing, to validate product quality and share clear feedback with the team
- Perform basic failure analysis, report bugs, and identify blocking issues, taking ownership of driving them to resolution
- Actively learn the team’s tools, processes, and product portfolio, using current AI development tools and coding assistants to learn faster and accelerate QA contributions
- Provide full transparency on testing progress and support the team in identifying opportunities to improve testing efficiency
Background and Skills You Will Need
- BS degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience
- 0-2 years of software testing experience or demonstrated foundational testing skills and methods
- Basic knowledge and understanding of SCRUM and agile methodologies
- Foundational understanding of test strategy and design, with willingness to learn to build out test cases and suites
- Basic knowledge of QA methodologies and best practices, with eagerness to grow expertise
- Highly self-motivated with a strong work ethic and the ability to stay on task and complete well-defined tasks in a timely manner
What Will Make You Standout
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, technical writing, and communication skills
- Familiarity with Chinese audiences and Chinese-language proficiency
*Position is hybrid/in-office located in Salt Lake City.
